The site was created following first-hand experience of a Sale-or-Return arrangement that developed into a lengthy dispute. Its purpose is to help other vehicle owners ask the right questions, preserve important evidence and understand where they can seek appropriate help if problems arise.

We aim to present practical, evidence-based information in a fair and responsible way. This website does not provide legal advice and does not accuse any individual or business of criminal conduct. Where a real case is discussed, disputed matters are identified as such and documentary evidence is used wherever possible.

I created Sale or Return Help UK after experiencing first-hand just how confusing a vehicle Sale-or-Return agreement can become.

What initially appeared to be a straightforward way of selling a vehicle developed into a lengthy dispute involving contracts, cancellation terms, charges, questions around vehicle ownership and possession and the importance of keeping clear documentary evidence.

That experience showed me how easily an ordinary vehicle owner can find themselves unsure of their position or what questions they should be asking.
